Two notes on our own cabinets. The 5-Shelf and 7-Shelf share one chamber โ the 7-Shelf trades shelf spacing for two more trays, which suits herbs, greens, candy and other shallow loads. And the Small is built to sit on a counter rather than on the floor: at 17.3 in. tall it clears the underside of most wall cabinets, it plugs into a regular household outlet, and because it takes its cooling air in at the back and pushes it out at the front it needs a clear foot on one side only. The floor-standing machines are air cooled left to right and want 12 in. clear on both flanks.
Vacuum pumps
The biggest structural difference between the lineups. Harvest Right ships one Premier-class oil pump across all of its sizes (with an oil-free pump sold separately as an upgrade). Stay Fresh puts commercial-grade oil pumps on its larger machines as standard equipment:
- Premier oil pump โ 7.2 CFM, 62 dB. Standard on the Small, the 5-Shelf and the 7-Shelf.
- Commercial oil pump โ 7.2 CFM, 0.4 kW, 54 dB, KF25 fitting, oil demister included. Optional on the 5- and 7-Shelf; standard on the Large.
- Mega Commercial pump โ 10.2 CFM, 0.55 kW, 54 dB, with demister. Standard on the Mega.
From the 5-Shelf up, the vacuum line ends in a standard KF25 flange on the outside of the cabinet. KF is the clamp standard laboratories and vacuum shops already work in, so hoses, clamps, gauges and adaptors are off-the-shelf parts rather than something only we sell. Those machines also carry a motorized ball valve that closes the vacuum line whenever the pump is not pulling, so pump oil cannot back-stream into the food chamber. The Small keeps its vacuum plumbing inside the cabinet and arrives with the hose already connected, so there is nothing to assemble on the vacuum line at all.
Pricing
Prices as of October 2026. Harvest Right prices are their base (black) colors โ stainless finishes run $400โ500 more โ and change often with promotions, so check their site for current numbers. Stay Fresh sells one finish, one price.
